The purpose of International Conference on Digital Humanities (CODH) is to bring together scholars, researchers and representatives in digital humanities and discuss issues and ideas related to their influence on aspects of human culture, with an emphasis on digital methods, trends, practices, and cyber law. We aim to facilitate a platform where scholars, researchers, and practitioners from diverse backgrounds can exchange ideas and insights on the intersection of technology and humanistic inquiry. Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking conversations and forge meaningful connections that transcend disciplinary boundaries.
Another key objective of our conference is to catalyze the formation of an association for Indonesian Digital Humanities researchers, academicians, and practitioners. By bringing together individuals with a shared interest in leveraging digital technologies to explore Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage within the current global dynamics including addressing its unique societal challenges, we aim to establish a collaborative network and space that promotes knowledge exchange, capacity building, and collective action.
Submission Guidelines
All articles in the CODH-24 must have been presented at the Conference on Digital Humanities on 30-31 Oktober 2024. These articles will be peer-reviewed by members of the Peer Review Committee and approved by the Chief Editor to ensure their quality.
The review process will be carried out in a double-blind manner, where each article will be examined by at least 2 independent reviewers. We will use the Easychair conference system.
Initial consideration is given to the overall quality of the application as well as its implementation. After initial screening, papers are distributed for peer review by matching each paper’s topic to the reviewer’s expertise. In order for an article to be considered for publication, it needs to receive positive feedback from both reviewers.
After considering the reviewer’s recommendations, authors whose articles are rejected will be offered the opportunity to correct and resubmit their work.
To improve the quality of reviews, we strictly maintain confidentiality when we distribute papers and ensure that papers do not reach authors who are related to the authors.
Reviewers are asked to evaluate the quality of submissions based solely on the academic value of their material in the following areas: Papers are selected according to the scope of the conference and the theme of the conference, as detailed on the conference website. The review committee will reject papers that are not in accordance with the scope and theme of the conference. We will select papers based on the originality, novelty and timeliness of the research, indicated by the authors in each paper, such as the time the research was conducted, the data collected, the research gaps between the previous research and the current research of each paper.
The method, analysis, and results that the researcher makes in the paper must be supported by valid data, strong arguments, thorough analysis and a clear explanation of the research results. Papers must demonstrate adherence to ethical standards and codes of ethics relevant to their field of research.
