4th National Conference of the Hellenic Society of Agricultural Engineers (EGME)
The 14th National Conference of the Hellenic Society of Agricultural Engineers (EGME) seeks to highlight the transformative role of emerging technologies—such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, digital and robotic systems, remote sensing, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)—in advancing core domains of agricultural engineering. These technologies are increasingly integrated into traditional areas including agricultural machinery and infrastructure, farm mechanization, and the sustainable management and utilization of soil, water, and energy resources. They also play a critical role in optimizing the storage, transportation, and processing of agricultural products. The adoption of such advanced technologies is imperative for addressing contemporary challenges in agriculture, such as ensuring the availability of safe, nutritious, and sufficient food; conserving natural resources; protecting the environment; and adapting to the changing climatic conditions. Particular emphasis will be given to drone technologies, which have rapidly gained traction in agricultural applications and are anticipated to assume a pivotal role in the sector's future development.
The biennial conference of the Hellenic Society of Agricultural Engineers (EGME) is organized with the objective of fostering interaction among academics, researchers, scientists, practitioners, and professionals engaged in the broad field of Agricultural Engineering. The conference provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experiences on current technological and scientific advancements, and serves as a catalyst for the development of synergies and collaborative initiatives. A key priority of the conference is to strengthen the connection between research and academic institutions and the industrial sector, including businesses operating in related domains. This aims to promote effective partnerships and facilitate the transfer of knowledge and innovation. Moreover, the EGME conferences place particular emphasis on the promotion and integration of early-career researchers into the scientific community of Agricultural Engineers in Greece, recognizing their role in shaping the future of the discipline.

Submission Guidelines
Researchers aiming to present a paper at the 14th national Conference of EGME are invited to submit abstracts of their scientific work via the "EasyChair" platform (up to 400 words, following the abstract template by May 20, 2025. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference's Scientific Committee (SC). The review process will be completed by June 10, 2025.
Authors whose abstracts are accepted by the SC will be invited to submit either a full paper (up to 10 pages) or an extended abstract, via the "EasyChair" platform following the conference's full paper template, by July 30, 2025. Submissions must be original and may be written in Greek or English. The name of the author who will present the work at the conference must be underlined in the submission.
Presentations may be delivered orally (using PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.) or in poster format, depending on the author’s preference or the SC's decision. Oral presentations will have a total duration of 20 minutes (15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions). Posters must be in 80x120 cm format.
All accepted contributions will be published in the Proceedings of the 14th National Conference of the Hellenic Society of Agricultural Engineers, which will be assigned an ISBN.
