The 33rd International Conference on Information Systems Development (ISD 2025) conference serves as a platform for advancing research and innovation in the field of information systems. The theme of ISD 2025 is Empowering the Interdisciplinary Role of ISD in Addressing Contemporary Issues in Digital Transformation: How Data Science and Generative AI Contributes to ISD?
ISD is recognized as a premier international venue that brings together the fields of Information Systems, Software Engineering, and Data Science. Established in 1988, the conference has consistently provided a collaborative space for researchers, practitioners, and educators to share insights and engage in discussions on the latest advancements, trends, experiences, and challenges.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome: Research Papers (Full or Short), Poster Papers, and Journal-First Papers.
ISD 2025 invites original papers, not currently under review or published elsewhere (apart from the category of Journal-First papers), describing results that broadly belong to the conference topics. All the submissions will be checked on plagiarism and AI writing.
All submissions must be written in English and submitted in PDF format to a selected conference track via the EasyChair conference management system. Simultaneous submissions to multiple tracks are not allowed. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reassign submissions to a different track if deemed a better fit, based on recommendations from the Track Chairs.
List of Topics
The authors are always welcome to cover all general research topics in the area of ISD. Additionally, this year the conference seeks to address a range of emerging questions relevant to both research and practice in the ever-evolving field, such as:
- How can Data Science and Generative AI enhance decision-making in complex system engineering projects?
- How does the application of Data Science improve predictive analytics and risk assessment in system engineering?
- How ISD process can effectively contribute to MLOps in a wide range of application domains?
- How ISD process can effectively contribute to the development of AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science solutions in a wide range of application domains?
- How can generative AI tools be effectively integrated into ISD and software development processes?
- How can Generative AI optimize requirements engineering and system design in ISD?
- How can Generative AI improve DevOps, software testing, debugging, and quality assurance in ISD?
- How does Generative AI impact software documentation and knowledge transfer in ISD and system engineering?
- How can AI-driven collaboration tools enhance interdisciplinary teamwork in system engineering?
- How can AI assist in optimizing workflows in complex system engineering projects?
- What security risks and vulnerabilities do generative AI models introduce in software systems, and how can they be mitigated?
- How can organizations ensure ethical and responsible use of Generative AI in ISD?
- What are the ethical and legal implications of leveraging generative AI in software development and system engineering?
- How will the integration of Data Science and Generative AI reshape the role of system engineers and ISD professionals?
