ISLBFS2025: The 4th International Symposium on Lithium Battery Fire Safety Kowloon, Hong Kong, October 30-November 2, 2025

The 4^th International Symposium on Lithium Battery Fire Safety (ISLBFS 2025) continues its mission to advance research and applications in lithium-ion battery fire safety. Since its inception in 2019 in Hefei, the symposium has become a biennial event that attracts experts, scholars, and professionals worldwide. Following successful editions in Hefei (2019, 2021) and Qingdao (2023), the 4^th symposium will be hosted in the vibrant Asia's world city of Hong Kong from 30 Oct to 2 Nov 2025.  

The four-day symposium will showcase cutting-edge developments through invited lectures by leading battery fire safety researchers, parallel sessions of peer-reviewed paper presentations, and engaging poster sessions highlighting recent advancements.  

In addition to the rich technical program, attendees will enjoy numerous social activities designed to foster informal discussions and networking opportunities, strengthening collaborations among colleagues and friends. Join us in exploring the forefront of lithium battery fire safety science and technology. 

Submission Guidelines

You are invited to submit original abstracts on any scientific topic at the symposium. Each author with an accepted abstract will be invited to submit an extended abstract (no more than three pages) or a full paper.

The extended abstract and full paper will be peer-reviewed. The accepted ones will be included in the Symposium Proceedings and invited to give an oral or poster presentation. Conference participants will receive the proceedings in electronic format, and access to the file on the platform will be granted.

Full papers with good review feedback will be invited for publication in the special issues of Fire Technology and Process Safety and Environmental Protection. These journals are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.

Prizes and Awards: The ISLBFS 2025 Technical Program Committee will award prizes for the best papers and the best oral and poster presentations at the symposium.

Publication

Papers accepted for oral presentation at ISLBFS2025, may be revised and subsequently re-submitted for consideration for publication in Process Safety and Environmental Protection or Fire Technology. Note that papers that proceed for possible publications will be subjected to an additional editorial process.
