頻率跟隨反應:探索聽覺處理與學習的一扇窗

Abstract

頻率跟隨反應(Frequency-Following Response, FFR)是聽力學(Audiology)及認知神經科學(Cognitive Neuroscience)等領域所關注的一種聽覺電生理訊號,它可以幫助理解腦皮質下(Subcortical)區域的聽覺處理與學習,而它的特點是和誘發刺激音具有鎖相(Phase Locking)關係。FFR訊號主要源自腦幹裡中腦的下丘(Inferior Colliculus)部位的反應,可透過頭皮電極和特別的設備測量並記錄。本文以語音訊號處理的角度介紹FFR和相關研究,包括了聽覺處理與聽覺電生理等背景知識,並介紹人工電子耳(Cochlear Implant)與相關的電誘發頻率跟隨反應(Electrically-evoked Frequency‐Following Response, eFFR),說明其中的挑戰與機會,以提供參考與啟發。
