Abstract

This study delves into the theoretical foundations of Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) within the intricate tapestry of postmodern discourse. Faced with the complexities of postmodern contexts, where realities are fluid and meanings are often elusive, the research aims to elucidate how IPA serves as a valuable sense-making tool. Drawing on qualitative research methodologies and postmodern theoretical frameworks, the study navigates the evolving landscape of postmodern thought. It examines how IPA, traditionally employed to explore individual lived experiences, can be adapted to unravel the intricate layers of meaning within the complex and dynamic nature of postmodern discourses. The theoretical insights presented shed light on how IPA facilitates sense-making in the face of ambiguity, multiple perspectives, and shifting realities. Through an exploration of postmodern contexts, the study contributes to the ongoing dialogue on qualitative research methodologies, offering a nuanced understanding of how IPA can be a valuable tool for interpreting and making sense of the complexities inherent in postmodern discourses.
