An assessment of the volumetric activity of 137Cs near the NPP has been carried out. A fairly accurate way of placing monitoring installations has been identified (taking into account the direction of the winds, the distance to the NPP and to nearby settlements). It was found that some radionuclides, which are currently poorly controlled, require careful monitoring. It is also recommended to replace the flanged cuvettes with universal collection tanks, which will provide more accurate monitoring. The placement of monitoring installations is in full compliance with the IAEA recommendations. Keyphrases: monitoring installations, nuclear power plant, radioactive emissions near agricultural areas
